Computing Science is about learning to program, right? Yes, but that is only a small part of the programme. As a computer scientist you learn how software works, how information is represented as digital data and the underlying mathematical and logical principles. You will study how all this is implemented in hardware like computers and digital networks and how to apply cyber security to protect IT systems.

Computing Science is an 3-year English-taught Bachelor's programme at the Faculty of Science of the Radboud University. You get a broad and solid mathematical foundation that will allow you to deal with and shape the information technologies of the future.

In the second and third year, there is room for a specialisation according to your own interests. You will choose two out of three specialisation tracks: Data Science, Cyber Security and Software Science.

• At RU students have to really like to do research, to write and to analyze, because most of the assignments are written.
• RU has free writing classes at which students can attend if they struggle with academic writing (most of the students attends them).
• Students mostly can learn Dutch for free and get 50% discount to learn other languages like Spanish, Chinese or other 15 languages.
• Easy to find a job as a student – lots of shops, bars, restaurants. Student who gave me a tour said all his friends found a job in 2-3 months.
