Global Management of Social Issues

In this Bachelor, you will approach complex societal challenges in an international context from an organizational and managerial perspective. You will learn how to run projects and compose teams that work on complex social issues called 'wicked problems'. Global Management of Social Issues integrates knowledge from three academic fields in the social sciences: Human Resource Studies, Organization and Management Studies, and Sociology.
In the Bachelor Global Management of Social Issues, you will learn to understand and manage international societal challenges (wicked problems) by combining insights from Organization and Management Studies, Human Resource Studies, and Sociology. You will approach these wicked problems from different perspectives and learn which organizational interventions are needed to tackle these issues.
In the first year, you will take a number of introductory courses to get an initial understanding of the background, nature, and causes of wicked problems. In the second year, you will further expand and deepen your knowledge of wicked problems. In the third year, you can integrate the theoretical knowledge into practice during an internship, or broaden your understanding in an international environment during an exchange abroad.

In order to be successful in the program, you must have sufficient knowledge of mathematics. You are required to have followed mathematics up to and including the last year of high school.
