What is most important when applying to Belgium?

Applying to Belgian universities is one of the simplest processes in Europe. Here is what you need to know:

  1. English language proficiency. When applying for Bachelor's studies in Belgium, you must prove your English language skills. The good news is that many universities accept the Duolingo English Test, which is a convenient and fast alternative to IELTS or TOEFL. You can find more information about English requirements here.
  2. Secondary school diploma. You will need to attach your secondary school leaving diploma to the Kastu application form – it contains all the key information that universities need. For Belgian universities, your grades are not the most important factor – they value your motivation and desire to improve, so even students with average grades have excellent chances of being admitted.
  3. Passion and motivation. Although most programs do not require an official motivation letter, your inner desire to learn and your proactivity are the most important factors for successful studies in Belgium!
