Music - Music in Education
This two-year internationally-oriented Master's degree programme centres on your personal and specialist development. Alongside the demanding main subject studies, the research and entrepreneurship components offer both support and a challenge, enabling you to establish yourself in the world of music with your specific individual qualities. You can choose from Classical Music, Jazz and Music in Education.
If you have completed a Bachelor of Music in Education degree, this programme links up seamlessly. This two-year personalised Master's degree programme will broaden your career prospects. It will give you the chance to develop your talent and specialisation, training you to become a highly versatile music educator of the highest level. Lessons will be based on your entry level, motivation and learning questions. In addition, you will have the benefit of study career guidance and research coaching.
This bilingual educational track of the Master of Music programme comprises programme components from the Master of Music (classical/jazz) as well as advanced educational study. The core of the programme and the research, are oriented towards educational and music-educational issues from professional practice. You are not afraid of self-reflection and are aware of the social, cultural and international context of music education.

- ECTS transcript – If you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree, upload an ECTS transcript showing the subjects you have studied, your grades, and the number of credits awarded. Your Bachelor’s diploma must be uploaded later, as soon as you receive it.
- Bachelor’s diploma – If you have already graduated, upload your Bachelor’s diploma. A separate ECTS transcript is not required.
Note: Your Bachelor’s degree must be in the same or a related field as the Master’s programme you are applying for. The university will check whether you have completed enough relevant subjects and ECTS credits.

Applicants have to prove their English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or upon previous studies. Usually English language skills can be proved by the following documents:
- TOEFL iBT*
- IELTS Academic
- A Cambridge English qualification
- Higher education degree completed in English
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements

After graduating from this Master's degree programme, you will be awarded a Master of Music certificate. This programme has been accredited with the qualification ‘good’ by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
