Master Urban Tourism and Mobility
Do you want to explore how to blend high-quality tourism and leisure services with visitor flows and city planning? Then our one-year Urban Tourism and Mobility master’s specialisation is your next step, focusing on sustainable approaches to urban development.
This programme will equip you as a young professional with the skills and competencies to tackle the complex challenges and opportunities urban tourism is facing. You will become familiar with various perspectives from different stakeholders, such as tourists, locals, businesses, governments and NGOs. You will also apply your learning in practice and conduct field research at three European cities. Start engaging and collaborating with stakeholders from tourism and beyond to enhance the quality of urban spaces and address their mobility challenges!
Urban Tourism and Mobility is a specialisation of the Tourism Destination Management master’s programme.
- ECTS transcript – If you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree, upload an ECTS transcript showing the subjects you have studied, your grades, and the number of credits awarded. Your Bachelor’s diploma must be uploaded later, as soon as you receive it.
- Bachelor’s diploma – If you have already graduated, upload your Bachelor’s diploma. A separate ECTS transcript is not required.
Note: Your Bachelor’s degree must be in the same or a related field as the Master’s programme you are applying for. The university will check whether you have completed enough relevant subjects and ECTS credits.

Applicants have to prove their English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or upon previous studies. Usually English language skills can be proved by the following documents:
- TOEFL iBT*
- IELTS Academic
- A Cambridge English qualification
- Higher education degree completed in English
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
- Other

Bachelor’s degree, for example in the fields of tourism, hotel management, international business, management, economics, law, e-commerce, urban development, geography, social sciences or finance.
Bachelor’s students with such a BBA degree are directly eligible if they meet the following criteria:
- knowledge (at bachelor’s level) of tourism planning and development
- knowledge (at bachelor’s level) of cross-cultural studies
- academic skills at bachelor’s level (e.g. research methods and techniques)
All eligible candidates will be invited for an interview.
The applicant has to provide us with two references as part of the intake procedure.
