UCLL University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Belgium, with about 16,000 students and campuses in Leuven and the province of Limburg (Hasselt, Diepenbeek, Genk and Diest). What can you study in English?
UCLL offers English-taught professional Bachelor’s programs in fields such as business management and applied technology. Entry qualification
- Transcript of Records – If you have not yet completed Secondary School, you must upload a transcript showing your current grades. You can find the transcript template here.
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.

Housing at UCLL – thousands of student rooms near every campus
UCLL promises affordable student accommodation near each campus – and in Leuven, one of Europe’s biggest student cities, there are literally thousands of student rooms (called “kots”) in all price ranges. As a UCLL student you are helped by the KU Leuven Housing Service, which supports all international UCLL students: it runs the official room database, checks contracts and even organises online info sessions with housing counselors before you arrive.
About 20% of students live in residence halls and 80% in private rooms. UCLL itself does not own residence halls, but rooms in KU Leuven residences are reserved for UCLL students. In Leuven, a single room typically costs about €490–800 per month including utilities. In Limburg, prices are noticeably lower and rooms are easier to find.
Where to search for a room
For Leuven, use the university-backed room database Kotwijs, where you can filter rooms by price, location and comfort level – all landlords in the database work with the housing service. For the Limburg campuses (Hasselt, Diepenbeek, Genk, Diest), the regional platform Kot at Limburg lists student rooms near the campuses. UCLL strongly advises to secure your housing before arriving in Belgium – do not plan to search for a room after arrival.
Contracts and safety
Rental agreements in Belgium are always written and signed, and the contract may be in Dutch – the housing service can help you understand it before signing. Be careful with offers that seem too good to be true and never send money before you have a signed contract; the housing counselors can verify any offer for you.
