I decided to study abroad because I wanted to push myself beyond my comfort zone.
For a long time, I could not decide which country would suit me best. Eventually, I chose the Netherlands because of its beautiful cities, international atmosphere, excellent universities, and problem-based approach to learning.
The application process can feel stressful when you have to manage deadlines, documents, and university requirements at the same time. Kastu made this process much easier by helping me submit everything correctly and on time.
With their support, I always knew what I needed to do, where to send the documents, and when each step had to be completed.
My first months in the Netherlands were filled with new experiences. The people were friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and living in such an international environment immediately made everyday life more interesting.
The studies themselves are certainly not easy, but nobody chooses university because they expect it to be effortless.
What I enjoy most is the strong focus on practical learning. From the very first days, we were expected to explore different types of equipment independently and understand how they worked.
After only ten weeks, we had already created a package consisting of four sensors.
Instead of spending months only reading about technology, we began building and testing things almost immediately. This makes the learning process more challenging, but also far more engaging and meaningful.
The problem-based study system encourages you to think independently, experiment, solve real challenges, and learn through experience. You are not simply given information to memorise. You have to understand how to apply it.
Of course, student life is not only about assignments and projects. Weekly events and parties offer a chance to relax, meet new people, and enjoy the international community after an intensive week of studying.
Studying abroad requires effort. You have to adapt to a new country, communicate in another language, and accept that the academic expectations may be demanding.
But that is also why the experience is so valuable.
You leave your comfort zone, discover what you are capable of, and gain practical skills that prepare you for much more than the next exam.
Is studying abroad worth it? In my experience, absolutely.
