International Business and Management
The Master in International Business and Management (MIBM) fulltime programme is a postgraduate MBA degree for graduates of business administration or other business-related disciplines. Suitable candidates can be admitted directly into this master's programme and no work experience is required.
During the master's programme you will apply business and management theories to current international business practice. The programme provides the perfect preparation for a successful career in international business. There is a strong focus on the key professional skills of intercultural communication, creative thinking, personal development and leadership. It prepares ambitious graduates for international management and consulting positions in, for example, the areas of marketing, HRM, supply chain management and finance and accounting. Our graduates are located around the world and can be found in companies and organisations of all sizes, from consultancies and start-ups to large multinationals.
A double degree programme with Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, United Kingdom, is offered. Graduates obtain the following master's degrees:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen.
- Master of Science in International Business (MSc) from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
The programme challenges you to apply business and management theories to current international business practice. To prepare you for a career in international business you experience a strong focus on the key professional skills of intercultural communication, creative thinking, personal development and leadership. The programme offers direct entry to suitable graduates and requires no additional work experience. It prepares ambitious graduates for international management positions in e.g. marketing, human resources and finance departments at companies of all sizes.
- ECTS transcript – If you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree, upload an ECTS transcript showing the subjects you have studied, your grades, and the number of credits awarded. Your Bachelor’s diploma must be uploaded later, as soon as you receive it.
- Bachelor’s diploma – If you have already graduated, upload your Bachelor’s diploma. A separate ECTS transcript is not required.
Note: Your Bachelor’s degree must be in the same or a related field as the Master’s programme you are applying for. The university will check whether you have completed enough relevant subjects and ECTS credits.

Applicants have to prove their English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or upon previous studies. Usually English language skills can be proved by the following documents:
- TOEFL iBT*
- IELTS Academic
- A Cambridge English qualification
- Higher education degree completed in English
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements

A comprehensive LinkedIn research published in November 2014 showed that our graduates are employed in a wide variety of companies and business-related professions worldwide, including those following entrepreneurial and start-up career paths. Over 800 unique LinkedIn profiles were assessed, representing IBS alumni currently located in over 60 different countries.
