In this international Bachelor’s programme, you’ll explore the Universe, from galaxies and planetary systems to advanced astronomical instruments, while building a solid foundation in physics and mathematics and engaging in cutting-edge research. The University of Groningen has a long tradition of astronomy research dating back to 1883, and its astronomers are now recognized as global leaders in radio astronomy, cosmology, and space instrumentation.
The Astronomy programme in Groningen offers you space to better orientate yourself in your study choice. It is possible to switch to Physics, Applied Physics or Mathematics during the first year.

An additional documents, Statement of Education / Course description, may be required depending on the programme you apply for at this university.
If any document is required, it will appear in the Documents section of the Kastu application form once you start your application.

You may not need to take IELTS or TOEFL. University usually allow you to prove your English proficiency in one of the following ways:
