The Creative Business degree at NHL Stenden teaches you how to think and work from a cross-media perspective. You will become a creative professional who can take on a leading role, both in the spotlight and behind the scenes. You’ll develop your insights into the entire process of media production, from concept development to implementation, as well as learn how to market media products.

  • Earn your bachelor’s degree in just 3 years.
  • Obtain a master’s degree in 4 years with our 1 year Master Content & Media Strategy after your bachelor's study.
  • Enrol in a broad-ranging management course – a gateway to a career in media.
  • Have the option of completing part of your degree programme outside the Netherlands.
  • Do a final-year internship in the Netherlands or another country of your choice so as to greatly increase your chances of finding a job.

With our Creative Business degree, you develop your skills to become a manager in the media industry. You develop your insights into business and marketing, nurture your conceptual thinking skills and learn how to use and apply different forms of media and technology. You get to explore all aspects of your own creativity whether your passion is for film, radio, tv, online media, music or video games.

Wherever your interest in media lies, whether it’s music, film, tv or online media or print, the Creative Business programme prepares you to be a manager in the industry. You can expect a very hands-on approach with workshops and practical challenges giving you a true experience of the media and entertainment industry as you turn ideas into concepts and then into reality. You get to create, record and produce media in our on-campus studios, complete with radio studio, green screens, top-notch camera and audio equipment, as well as the latest design software, so when you hit the creative media industry, you’ll be well ahead of the game.

Entry qualification
  • Transcript of Records – If you have not yet completed Secondary School, you must upload a transcript showing your current grades. You can find the transcript template here.
  • Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.

Depending on the programme, the following may be required as part of the application process:

  • CV/Resume in English
  • Motivation Letter in English

English language requirements

You may not need to take IELTS or TOEFL. University usually allow you to prove your English proficiency in one of the following ways:

  • An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
