Leisure & Events Management

Quality of life is becoming increasingly important in the way people spend their leisure time. You will learn how to put this to use. After graduating, you will be able to create and organise meaningful and successful leisure products. You will gain a lot of practical experience and start building your network right away.
The Leisure & Events Management programme is delivered thematically. The programme consist of an ‘international classroom’, which involves a mix of Dutch and non-Dutch (international) students in one classroom. The regular programme takes four years, but there is a possibility to do a 3-year programme, which is referred to as the fast track (or accelerated programme).

- Transcript of Records – If you have not yet completed Secondary School, you must upload a transcript showing your current grades. You can find the transcript template here.
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.
Depending on the programme, the following may be required as part of the application process:
- CV/Resume in English
- Motivation Letter in English
- Online Intake Assignment – a recruitment task to be completed after submitting your application
- Online Interview – an interview with a university representative to discuss your motivation and suitability for the programme (after submitting your application)

You may not need to take IELTS or TOEFL. University usually allow you to prove your English proficiency in one of the following ways:
- TOEFL iBT*
- IELTS Academic
- A Cambridge English qualification
- A national English examination listed on your secondary school leaving certificate
- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
- An International Baccalaureate (IB) or European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma
- Other

Get a job
As a leisure manager, you may take up a career in - for instance - theatres, music labels, sports centres or city marketing. You may be in charge of the operational management of a company, the development of new leisure products, or the organisation of exhibitions, conferences or events. Obtain a master's degree
Once you have earned your bachelor's degree, you may choose to continue on a professional Breda University of Applied Sciences master’s programme, for example:
