Are you fascinated by computers, the science behind them, and what you can do with them? Do you enjoy programming, or are you eager to get started with it? Would you like to study computer science, while also gaining expertise in other essential fields, such as electrical engineering or business information technology? Do you see yourself becoming a technical computer scientist committed to societal improvements, for example in healthcare, finance, or the environment? If so, our three-year, English-taught Bachelor’s in Technical Computer Science (TCS) is the right choice for you.

You study a lot of mathematics and you gain in-depth knowledge of programming, software systems, computer networks, algorithms, computer hardware, human-machine interaction and much more. You also go deeply into aspects such as parallelism, information and data, complexity and security. With this bachelor’s, especially if you combine it with a master’s, you learn to use your fascination for computers and technology for improvements and solutions in the most diverse areas of society.

During this three-year Bachelor's in Technical Computer Science, you will follow twelve modules: four modules per year. Each module covers a theme and brings together all the main aspects of your studies: theory and practice, research and solution design, self-study and teamwork.

Entry qualification
  • Transcript of Records – If you have not yet completed Secondary School, you must upload a transcript showing your current grades. You can find the transcript template here.
  • Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.

English language requirements

You may not need to take IELTS or TOEFL. University usually allow you to prove your English proficiency in one of the following ways:

  • A national English examination listed on your secondary school leaving certificate
  • An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
  • Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
