In today's rapidly evolving world, the need for lifelong learning and socially sustainable work environments has never been more important. As the workplace continues to be transformed by digitalisation, globalisation and societal challenges, new strategies and leadership approaches are essential. This programme will give you the knowledge and tools to address these pressing issues and to design for lifelong learning and promote the development of socially just and sustainable work practices.
The programme examines the shared responsibilities of education and work, focusing on how learning and collaboration can drive positive change. You will explore strategies that promote lifelong learning, develop sustainable leadership, and meet the demands of a rapidly changing labour market.
Designed for professionals in all sectors, the programme will empower you to take the lead in building socially responsible workplaces. Through critical thinking and practical solutions, you'll learn to navigate today’s complex work challenges and shape policies and practices that will benefit future generations.
The programme is offered as 1-year (60 credits) and 2-year (120 credits).
The applicant must hold the minimum of a bachelor’s degree (i.e. the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university) with at least 90 credits in Education, Social science, Social Work or Study and career guidance.
*Social sciences include areas such as social and behavioural sciences, psychology, sociology, ethnology and human geography, political science, economics and economic history, journalism and information, media and communication studies, library and documentation science, business, commerce and administration, purchasing, sales and distribution, marketing, banking, insurance and finance, accounting and taxation, management and administration, clerical and secretarial services, law and jurisprudence, criminology, anthropology, peace and development studies, human rights, disability science, gender science, etc.
After completing your studies, you will be well equipped to work as, for example, an organizational development professional for companies, organisations globally. You will also be well equipped to, in an in-depth way, support people's navigation in a complex working life, in career guidance professions.
You will also be eligible to continue your studies at doctoral level at the School of Education and Communication, as well as at many other universities worldwide.
