International Management
In the English-taught postgraduate programme International Management, you’ll explore the ins and outs of national and international business together with fellow students from around the world.
Are you looking for an English-taught programme at a Flemish university of applied sciences that prepares you for an international career in business? The International Management postgraduate programme (banaba) at VIVES University of Applied Sciences in Kortrijk, Belgium, might be just right for you.
Together with other international students without a background in business or economics, you’ll gain the essential knowledge and skills for a future in international business – all in just one year.
- The programme is fully taught in English.
- You’ll learn how the different departments of (international) companies operate: from financial management, logistics, marketing and HR to business and strategic management.
- You’ll gain hands-on experience through an international internship of three to four months and a business project.
- You’ll visit international companies such as Barco, Volvo Trucks and Renson, and attend guest lectures by international business experts.
- Your bachelor’s degree, combined with this one-year business programme, puts you on the fast track to an international business career.
- The programme is highly practice-oriented and works best in small groups. That’s why we admit a maximum of 25 international students, based on an introductory interview.

Programme
The English-taught International Management programme is a postgraduate certificate (banaba) at VIVES Kortrijk. You can complete the standard programme in 12 months. It starts in mid-September and finishes with a three-month internship from May to July or August.
After this programme, you’ll be ready to enter the job market. At the same time, it’s the perfect stepping stone towards a master’s degree.
- Transcript of Records – If you have not yet completed Secondary School, you must upload a transcript showing your current grades. You can find the transcript template here.
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.

- Motivation Letter – A motivation letter is not a required document when applying to the programmes at this university.
You may not need to take IELTS or TOEFL. University usually allow you to prove your English proficiency in one of the following ways:
- TOEFL iBT*

- A Cambridge English qualification
- A national English examination listed on your secondary school leaving certificate
- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
