What can you expect?

In the International Communication Management programme, you will develop four key skills that will make you stand out in any communications role:

  1. Insight and Strategy – You will keep track of the latest communication trends and learn how to translate organizational goals into effective communication plans.
  2. Concept and Creation – You will create engaging communication products tailored to your audience, ranging from written content to videos, across multiple platforms.
  3. Project Design and Planning – You will learn to manage large projects, coordinate teams, and ensure that all goals are met efficiently.
  4. Research and Analysis – You will formulate research questions, gather data, and analyze the results to refine communication strategies and brand positioning.

From the start, you will be part of an international classroom, collaborating with students from all over the world. In your first year, you'll take part in field trips to explore different cultures and communication practices. In the second year, you will spend a week visiting companies and organizations to gain insights into their communication strategies, further enhancing your intercultural understanding.

In the third year, the first semester gives you the option to either go on an Erasmus exchange abroad or stay in Belgium and follow an expert track. If you choose the expert track, you will still have the opportunity to go abroad during the semester, applying your specialized knowledge in an international context. All students will complete a Stage XL, a five-month internship with an international organization, in the second semester. These experiences will provide you with a strong foundation in intercultural competencies, whether you’re studying abroad or staying @home.

Develop your language and intercultural skills

In addition to the core communication skills, you will also improve your language skills. The working language of the programme is English, but you can choose to study French or Spanish. By completing assignments and presentations, you will gain a strong command of communication-specific terminology in these languages.

This programme attracts students from around the world, and you will work on diverse cases and projects alongside them. The intercultural experience you gain will enrich your perspective and prepare you for the global job market.
