As a Master of Science in Electronics Engineering, you become a specialist in power electronics and embedded systems, which are found in almost all modern electronic devices.
You learn to combine these two fields in practice, thereby playing a key role in the development of the intelligent products of the future. For example, hybrid and electric cars use power electronics and intelligent control to reduce energy consumption. Similarly, control systems and power electronics are utilized in spacecrafts and satellites to convert energy from solar cells, fuel cells, and batteries.
The competencies of an electronics engineer are also in high demand for the development of products such as smartphones, sensors, smart washing machines, drones, uninterruptible power supplies, frequency converters, and robots.
Power electronics and embedded systems are integral to nearly all modern electronics, and the trend is growing as future products and production processes become increasingly intelligent and energy-efficient. As a result, there is a growing demand for electronics engineers with strong competencies in these fields.
Project and research-based learning environment
You will be part of a project-based and collaborative learning environment where you work in project groups. You and your fellow students are responsible for planning and carrying out projects within the allocated time. Projects typically come from companies, and we emphasize the importance of solving problems from 'real life'.
- ECTS transcript – If you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree, upload an ECTS transcript showing the subjects you have studied, your grades, and the number of credits awarded. Your Bachelor’s diploma must be uploaded later, as soon as you receive it.
- Bachelor’s diploma – If you have already graduated, upload your Bachelor’s diploma. A separate ECTS transcript is not required.
Note: Your Bachelor’s degree must be in the same or a related field as the Master’s programme you are applying for. The university will check whether you have completed enough relevant subjects and ECTS credits.

Applicants have to prove their English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or upon previous studies. Usually English language skills can be proved by the following documents:
- TOEFL iBT*
- IELTS Academic
- A Cambridge English qualification
- Higher education degree completed in English
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
- Other

You can apply if you hold a similar, relevant degree within Science or Engineering. To be considered, your degree must include a minimum of:
- 15 ECTS in Mathematics
- 15 ECTS in Physics, mechanics and electro physics
- 40 ECTS in Electronics, analogue and digital
- 10 ECTS in Signal processing, control
- 10 ECTS in Programming and simulation tools
