As an MSc in Software Engineering you will work with the development of future intelligent software that will make life easier for users. You can, for instance, become a software developer, IT and systems architect or project manager. You can develop mobile apps, IT security and online solutions. Software is included in many aspects of our daily lives, both in companies and society in general. Therefore, there is a great need for software experts to develop products that are relevant to both consumers and businesses and which meet the needs of society.
During your studies in engineering, you learn to develop state-of-the-art software products and services. Simultaneously, you will be able to improve the products and services we know today. You will learn how technology is best used to develop efficient solutions – not only from a technical point of view but also from a user perspective.

- Engineering Foundation and Practice
- ECTS transcript – If you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree, upload an ECTS transcript showing the subjects you have studied, your grades, and the number of credits awarded. Your Bachelor’s diploma must be uploaded later, as soon as you receive it.
- Bachelor’s diploma – If you have already graduated, upload your Bachelor’s diploma. A separate ECTS transcript is not required.
Note: Your Bachelor’s degree must be in the same or a related field as the Master’s programme you are applying for. The university will check whether you have completed enough relevant subjects and ECTS credits.

Applicants have to prove their English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or upon previous studies. Usually English language skills can be proved by the following documents:
- TOEFL iBT*
- IELTS Academic
- A Cambridge English qualification
- Higher education degree completed in English
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
- Other

You can apply if you hold a similar, relevant degree in Science or Engineering. To be considered, your degree must include a minimum of:
- 20 ECTS in Software Development and Programming
- 5 ECTS in Operating Systems
- 5 ECTS in Distributed Systems and Networking
- 5 ECTS in Database Systems
- 5 ECTS in Algorithms and Data Structures
- 5 ECTS in Statistics
