International Business - 4 years
How do international corporations, banks, UN bodies and multinationals make profits? How can an organization contribute to a truly global community? By taking the International Business (IB) degree you can make a difference to the world and earn a living. You’ll build strong foundations in economics, marketing, sales, finance and management. Lectures and workshops in the various modules will provide you with in-depth knowledge and experience working in a global team.

The IB programme will prepare you for a successful international business career. Anywhere in the world. You’ll build strong foundations in economics, marketing, sales, finance and management. Lectures and workshops in the various modules will provide you with in-depth knowledge and experience working in a global team. You’ll get to put knowledge into action during a semester-long internship at an international company.
Specialisations
- Finance & Accounting - Evaluate the financial performance of organisations from the perspective of different stakeholders. Recommend financing possibilities in a dynamic international environment.
- Operations & Supply Chain - Evaluate and manage the operations processes within and between organisations.
- Marketing & Sales - Develop a well-founded marketing plan to support the creation of value for international customers. Use appropriate sales techniques in support of durable customer relationships. Incorporate developments of the digital landscape in a marketing strategy.
- Transcript of Records – If you have not yet completed Secondary School, you must upload a transcript showing your current grades. You can find the transcript template here.
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.
An additional document, the Preliminary Graduation Statement, may be required depending on the programme you apply for at this university.

You may not need to take IELTS or TOEFL. University usually allow you to prove your English proficiency in one of the following ways:

- An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
- Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university

Although we offer courses in accounting, you will need to follow a Master in Accounting after your Bachelor’s to become a certified accountant. There are several options at other universities, both inside and outside the Netherlands.

There’s no need to stop your studies after graduation. The Hague Graduate School offers a few post graduate courses that complement the IB curriculum, such as its Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Financial Management and Control and Master in International Communication Management.
