This international two-year Master’s programme prepares you to tackle global challenges by merging fundamental chemistry with large-scale industrial applications. You’ll learn to design cleaner chemical processes, develop advanced materials, and apply catalytic and polymer technologies for a circular economy.

The curriculum includes a shared core and a choice of various electives. Your main research project takes place in one of our expert groups in Green Chemical Reaction Engineering or Chemical Product Technology , where sustainability is always central. Combined with the company internship this sets you up for a career in industry or academia. This programme equips you with the knowledge and experience to innovate in fields like clean energy, materials science, or process design.

English language requirements
  • Cambridge C1 CAE or Cambridge C2 CPE Certificate with a min. score of 180

  • IELTS (Academic): overall score 6.5 (min. 6.5 in every category)

  • TOEFL iBT*: overall score 90 (min. 21 in Reading, Listening, and Speaking, 24 in Writing)

  • TOEFL iBT*: overall score 4.5 (min. 4 in Reading and Speaking, 4.5 in Listening, 5 in Writing)

Important requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with elements of (polymer) chemistry. Interested candidates with a background in the field of food/biotechnology will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
