- Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.

Entry qualification
- ECTS transcript – If you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree, upload an ECTS transcript showing the subjects you have studied, your grades, and the number of credits awarded. Your Bachelor’s diploma must be uploaded later, as soon as you receive it.
- Bachelor’s diploma – If you have already graduated, upload your Bachelor’s diploma. A separate ECTS transcript is not required.
Note: Your Bachelor’s degree must be in the same or a related field as the Master’s programme you are applying for. The university will check whether you have completed enough relevant subjects and ECTS credits.

Housing is guaranteed – no stress!
Finding a place to live is often the biggest worry for students in Sweden. Not at Jönköping University. All new international students are guaranteed accommodation if they apply on time, pay the administration fee and announce their arrival. This is one of JU's biggest advantages – in most Swedish cities you have to wait in housing queues for months or even years.
The JU Accommodation Office arranges everything for you. You just fill in the housing application after you get admitted, choose your 3 favourite housing areas, and the university finds you a home.
How it works – step by step
- 1. Get admitted – shortly after admission you receive login details for the housing application.
- 2. Apply for housing – for autumn intake the application is open from mid-March until the end of May. Pick your top 3 housing preferences.
- 3. Pay the administration fee – a one-time, non-refundable fee of 850 SEK.
- 4. Announce your arrival – confirm your arrival date in July, then pick up your keys and move in!
What kind of rooms can I get?
JU student housing areas are spread around the city, and each is home to 50–550 students. Popular areas include Ekhagen (own apartment with a view of Lake Vättern), Kunskapsfabriken (modern single apartments in the city centre), Delta (10 minutes' walk from the university) and Linsen (campus just around the corner). You state 3 preferences in your application – if they are full, the Accommodation Office still finds you a suitable home.
What is included in the rent?
Your room comes with a bed, duvet and pillow (450 SEK one-time charge added to your first rent), a wardrobe, and access to a kitchen and laundry room. Electricity, water and internet are included in the rent. You only need to bring your own sheets and towels.

Can someone meet me when I arrive?
Yes. Jönköping University offers a pick-up service for new international students during the official arrival dates.
To use this service, you need to register your arrival details in advance.
